THE CHALLENGE

THE CHALLENGE

THE FLUORESCENT LAMPS IN THE TROFFERS PROVIDED UNEVEN LIGHT DISTRIBUTION, CREATING DARKENED AREAS THROUGHOUT THE RETAIL FLOOR.

With the environment and energy consumption in mind, Staples decided to make the move from fluorescent tubes and troffers toward a greener solution. With the help of an energy services partner who chose to use RENO lighting products in their project, Staples found the perfect solution: LED T8 retrofit and LED Panels.

THE SOLUTION

The existing fluorescent 2-lamp, 4ft fixtures were retrofitted with a more energy conscious LED T8, providing perfect clarity while keeping safety in mind with shatterproof coating. The dated look of the existing 1×4 and 2×4 troffer was not only aesthetically unappealing, but the light distribution was uneven, creating darkened areas. They were seamlessly switched out for the 1×4 and 2×4 LED flat panels, providing uniformed lighting as well as a glare free finish.

2x4 FLAT PANELS

Existing 4-lamp, 2×4 Lay-in Troffer fixture 128-Watt–Replaced with a 2×4 Flat panel 29/34/39/49W.

1x4 FLAT PANELS

Existing 2-lamp, 1×4 Lay-in Troffer fixture 64-Watt–Replaced with a 1×4 Flat panel 15/19/24/29W.

T8 TUBES

Existing 2-lamp, 4ft fixtures 64-Watt per fixture–Replaced with 2-LED T8 13-Watt tubes.
