Serta Simmons Bedding est l’un des principaux fabricants de matelas en Amérique du Nord, reconnu pour son innovation, son savoir-faire et ses marques de sommeil de confiance.

À son usine de Vaughan, en Ontario, Éclairage Reno s’est associé et à Serta Simmons pour moderniser l’éclairage de l’installation — en remplaçant les luminaires désuets par des réglette DEL haute baie écoénergétiques.

The existing lighting system at Serta Simmons’ Vaughan manufacturing facility consisted of 4 ft, 6-lamp LED T5 ballasted fixtures that had been retrofitted in 2019 — converting from 54W fluorescent lamps to 25.5W LED T5 replacements.

While the initial upgrade improved efficiency, ongoing lamp and ballast replacements (4-lamp and 2-lamp, 347V) had become frequent and costly, impacting both maintenance and lighting consistency across the plant.

To meet current production and inspection requirements, Serta Simmons needed a more reliable, high-performance lighting solution capable of achieving 400 lux throughout the general manufacturing area and up to 780 lux in quality inspection zones — all while reducing energy use and maintenance downtime.

Using a detailed lighting schematic and layout developed by Reno Lighting, the team designed a system optimized for uniformity, performance, and long-term dependability.

Le système d’éclairage existant à l’usine de fabrication de Serta Simmons à Vaughan se composait de réglette DEL T5 à ballast de 4 pi et 6 lampes, modernisées en 2019 — pas- sant de lampes fluorescentes de 54 W à des lampes DEL T5 de 25,5 W. 

Bien que cette première mise à niveau ait amélioré l’efficacité énergétique, le remplacement fréquent et coûteux des lampes et ballasts (4 et 2 lampes, 347 V) nuisait à la constance de l’éclairage et augmentait les coûts d’entretien.
