THE CHALLENGE
The Molson Coors facility in Toronto needed to replace the existing outdated lighting system throughout the facility, including the t12 fluorescents and metal halide highbays in the production area, as well as the high pressure sodium flood lights and wall packs around its exterior perimeter.
FROM THE PRODUCTION AREA TO EXTERIOR PARKING AREAS, MOLSON COORS NEEDED TO REPLACE AN OUTDATED LIGHTING SYSTEM THROUGHOUT THE FACILITY.
The Molson Coors facility in Toronto needed to replace the existing outdated lighting system throughout the facility, including the t12 fluorescents and metal halide highbays in the production area, as well as the high pressure sodium flood lights and wall packs around its exterior perimeter.
FROM THE PRODUCTION AREA TO EXTERIOR PARKING AREAS, MOLSON COORS NEEDED TO REPLACE AN OUTDATED LIGHTING SYSTEM THROUGHOUT THE FACILITY.
THE SOLUTION
In the main production area, existing 40W T12 fluorescents were replaced with RENO's 15W T8 Type B lamp that is self-ballasted. This represented over 60% energy savings with no need for future ballast maintenance. In addition, metal halide highbays consuming 400W were replaced with a combination of RENO LED T5 25.5W lamps and 150W UFO highbays. This helped achieve 60%+ reduction in energy consumption.
For the exterior, the perimeter of the facility was primarily lit by 400W and 1000W high pressure sodium flood lights, shoe box area lights, and wall packs. With 24hr shipping taking place it was essential that Molson Coors increase their lighting levels from their current state. A 35% increase in existing foot candles was achieved by installing RENO's 150W and 300W LED flood lights and 120W LED wall packs.
LED TYPE B T8 LAMPS
Existing T12 fluorescents were replaced by 15W LED T8 Type B lamps.
LED UFO HIGHBAYS
In other areas, existing 400W metal halide highbays were replaced by 150W LED UFO highbays.
LED TYPE B T5 LAMPS
Existing 400W metal halide highbays were replaced by LED T5 Type B lamps.

Existing 400W metal halide and 6-lamp T8 fluorescent highbays were replaced with LED 15W Type B linear lamps.
LED AREA LIGHTS
Existing high pressure sodium lights were replaced with 150W LED area lights.
LED WALL PACKS
Existing high pressure sodium wall packs were replaced with 120W LED wall packs.

Existing 400W metal halide and 6-lamp T8 fluorescent highbays were replaced with LED 15W Type B linear lamps.
